Jahr 1750

Die Familie Ingegnoli bewirtschaftete in Sesto Calende bereits zahlreiche eigene Ländereien mit Weinreben, Getreide und anderen Kulturen.

 

Im Jahr 1879

1879 erwarben die drei Ingegnoli-Brüder – Francesco, Vittorio und Paolo –, damals noch sehr jung, die 1817 in Mailand gegründeten Burdin-Baumschulen und führten die Produktion zahlreicher Obstbäume, Zierpflanzen und Samen fort, darunter auch der berühmte philippinische Maulbeerbaum, der sich für die Seidenproduktion außerordentlich stark entwickelte.

Im Jahr 1884 wandelten die drei Brüder Francesco, Vittorio und Paolo, Söhne von Dr. Antonio, einem Magistraten, das gärtnerisch-baumschulische Unternehmen in die „Società commerciale in nome collettivo Fratelli Ingegnoli“ (Offene Handelsgesellschaft Fratelli Ingegnoli) um und gründeten damit eines der ersten europäischen agro-botanischen Unternehmen. Auf innovativen Technologien basierend, verfolgte das neue Unternehmen das Ziel, die Bedürfnisse von Landwirten und Gärtnern, sowohl von Fachleuten als auch von Hobbygärtnern, effizient zu erfüllen und dabei höchste Qualität zu bieten. Das Unternehmen, mit Sitz in Mailand in der Corso Loreto 45 (heute Corso Buenos Aires 54), erlangte in ganz Italien und weltweit Bekanntheit durch neue botanische und gärtnerische Sorten, die ausschließlich mit Unterstützung international renommierter Botaniker entwickelt wurden.

 

Aus dem Jahr 1880 stammt der Versandkatalog, der heute, mehr als 140 Jahre später, einen bedeutenden Teil des Unternehmensumsatzes ausmacht. Derzeit können über 200.000 Kunden die Produkte über einen vollständig computergestützten Versandservice bestellen.

Bis zur Mitte des letzten Jahrhunderts war die technische Leitung der gärtnerisch-baumschulischen Produktion des Unternehmens in Cologno Monzese angesiedelt, auf einer Fläche von etwa 45 Hektar Land.

 

All dies stellt noch heute, nunmehr in der sechsten Generation der Familie Ingegnoli, eine weltweit einzigartige Realität im Bereich der Produktion und Vermarktung von Samen und Pflanzen dar.

 

Die Familie Ingegnoli war die erste, die Kakis (Persimonen) aus dem fernen Japan nach Europa importierte, wo sie sich sofort verbreiteten. Aus dem Jahr 1888 stammt ein Schreiben des Maestro Giuseppe Verdi, eines treuen Kunden, an die Fratelli Ingegnoli, in dem er sich für die Zusendung einiger Früchte bedankte, die von den ersten in der Baumschule gezogenen Pflanzen stammten.

Seit 1997 ist der neue Standort in der Via Oreste Salomone 65 in Mailand (Gebiet Mecenate) in Betrieb. Er steht allen Kunden, Großhändlern wie auch Privatpersonen, zur Verfügung und bietet großzügige Flächen für das Be- und Entladen der Waren sowie schnelle und effiziente Versorgungssysteme.

 

Im selben Jahr eröffnete Fratelli Ingegnoli den „Giardino di Viale Pasubio“, wo Kunden und Gartenliebhaber alle im Katalog angebotenen Produkte finden und die Ausstellung dank der großzügigen privaten Parkmöglichkeiten bequem besuchen können. In diesem neuen Verkaufsstandort finden die Kunden alles, was sie für eine einfache und angenehme Gartenpflege benötigen: von Zierpflanzen im Topf über Obstbäume, von Saatgut bis zu Pflanzenschutzmitteln, bis hin zu charakteristischen Bonsais sowie sämtliches notwendiges Zubehör für die praktische und funktionale Pflege kleiner, mittlerer und großer Grünflächen.

Seit 2010 ist in Mailand das neue, große Gartencenter in der Via O. Salomone 68, direkt gegenüber dem Firmensitz, in Betrieb. Es erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von mehr als 6.500 Quadratmetern und verfügt über 800 Quadratmeter Gewächshäuser.

 

Zur Abrundung des angebotenen Leistungsspektrums stellt Fratelli Ingegnoli den Kunden ein Technisches Büro der Abteilung „Gartenarchitektur“ zur Verfügung, bestehend aus einem effizienten Team von Technikern und Fachleuten, das in der Lage ist, jedes Problem im Bereich Gartenbau, Floristik und Obstbau zu lösen, einschließlich der Planung von Terrassen- und Gartengestaltungslösungen, die optimal auf die individuellen Bedürfnisse der Kunden abgestimmt sind..

Trotz der Entwicklung zu einem der bekanntesten Unternehmen der Branche in Italien und im Ausland sind die Arbeitsweise und die Werte der Familie Ingegnoli im Laufe der Zeit unverändert geblieben. Fratelli Ingegnoli verfügt über eigene Baumschulen und nutzt zudem Flächen im Eigentum Dritter. Dort werden Millionen von Jungpflanzen verschiedener gärtnerischer Arten erzeugt, die nach sorgfältiger Auswahl im Feld für den Anbau zur Saatgutgewinnung bestimmt sind, sowie Hunderttausende von Wildbaum-Unterlagen, auf die die Techniker Veredelungen durchführen, um Obst- und Zierpflanzen zu erhalten. Diese werden nach ein oder zwei Jahren in der Baumschule eingetopft und als Containerpflanzen verkauft.

 

Einige Arten werden hingegen durch Stecklinge oder aus Samen vermehrt. Die wichtigsten Baumschulen für Gemüsesaatgut befinden sich in der Romagna, jene für Obst- und Zierpflanzen in der Toskana; für Reben insbesondere im Gebiet von Ovada in der Provinz Alessandria. Rosensträucher werden im Wesentlichen in Frankreich produziert, in der Region Antibes, in Lyon sowie in Malicorne bei Clermont-Ferrand, durch zwei der weltweit führenden Züchter. Blumensamen stammen teils aus Italien und teils aus dem Ausland, insbesondere aus Deutschland und Nordeuropa. Blumenzwiebeln werden fast ausschließlich in Frankreich erzeugt, mit Ausnahme einiger Arten, die in Belgien und den Niederlanden kultiviert werden.

Das Unternehmen wird von nationalen Instituten bei der Nachkulturkontrolle der produzierten Gemüsesaatgut-Partien unterstützt, insbesondere im Hinblick auf die Sortenreinheit, sowie von staatlichen Analyselaboren im In- und Ausland für die Überprüfung der Keimfähigkeit und der Keimkraft des Saatguts jeder einzelnen Sorte.

 

Auf dieser Grundlage verfolgt das Unternehmen das Ziel, seinen Kunden in jeder Hinsicht einwandfreie Ware anzubieten, sorgfältig ausgewählt und gewissenhaft verpackt, und bleibt damit einem strengen Anspruch treu, der seit 1817, dem Gründungsjahr des ersten italienischen agro-botanischen Unternehmens, von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben wird

Year 1789

The first nursery occupies a big open air field in the area of what is now the Central Station.

Here Ingegnoli began to cultivate highly selected fruit and ornamental plants. Gradually, they began to produce seeds from garden, flower, and especially grass seed. Alongside these activities, they immediately include the importance of research work and, in collaboration with the best Italian botanists, they also worked in genetic selection and therefore in the production of cereals including some fodder species. The activity turns immediately to success.

Year 1884

In 1884 the three brothers Francesco, Vittorio and Paolo - sons of Doctor Antonio Magistrato - transform their floristic activity into the "Business Society in the collective name Fratelli Ingegnoli", founding one of the first European agro-botanical establishments. Based on innovative technologies, the new activity aims to efficiently meet the needs of growers and gardeners, professionals and amateurs, providing the best possible quality. The company, based in Milan, Corso Loreto, 45 (today Corso Buenos Aires, 54) is known throughout Italy and worldwide with its new botanical and horticultural varieties created exclusively with the assistance of botanical experts internationally renowned.

It is from 1890 the catalog number 85 of correspondence sales that today, more than 100 years away, represents a good part of the company's turnover. At present, over 200,000 customers can order their products through a fully computerized sales service.

Until the middle of the last century, the technical direction for the vegetable gardening production of the company was based in Cologno Monzese on an extension of more than 50 hectares of land. All this is still today - to the sixth generation of the Ingegnoli family - an unparalleled reality in the world of seed and plant production and marketing.

The Ingegnoli were the first to import into Europe, from far Japan, the Kaki, whose diffusion was immediate; it is dated 1888 a letter from Giuseppe Verdi to the Fratelli Ingegnoli with whom he thanked them for sending some fruits from the first plants produced in the nursery.

Since 1997, the new factory is operative in Via Oreste Salomone 65 in Milan (Mecenate area). Available to all customers, wholesalers and individuals, it offers a huge space for loading and unloading goods with fast and efficient delivery systems.

Also in that year, the Fratelli Ingegnoli inaugurates the "Garden of Viale Pasubio" where customers and fans can find all the products offered in the catalog, visiting the exhibition quietly thanks to the large private car park at their disposal. In this new sales point, the customers can find everything needed for easy and pleasant gardening, from ornamental potted plants to fruit trees, from seeds to pesticides, to bonsai and all the necessary equipment for a practical and functional maintenance of small, medium and large green spaces.

Year 2000

Since 2010, in Milan, the new large garden center in via O. Salomone 68 is in operation right in front of the seat. Organized on an area of more than 6,500 square meters, it has 800 square meters of greenhouses and a large car park.

Ingegnoli's nurseries

The Fratelli Ingegnoli has its own nursery, also using land owned by third parties. Here, it produces millions of seedlings of different species and herbs, which, after careful selection in the field, are intended for growing seed production and hundreds of thousands of wild tree plants on which technicians operate their grafts to obtain fruit plants and Ornamental that, after one or two years of nursery, are invaded and sold free of vase.

However, some species are reproduced by cuttings or seed. The main nurseries for vegetable seed are found in Romagna; for fruit trees and ornamental plants in Tuscany; For screws, in particular, in the area of Ovada, in the province of Alessandria. Roses are produced essentially in France, in the Antibes area, in Lyon and in Malicorne, near Clermon Ferrand, two of the world's most important breeders. Flower seeds are partly obtained in Italy and partly overseas: in Germany and Northern Europe. Flower bulbs are almost exclusively produced in France, except some species that are grown in Belgium and the Netherlands.

The Society is assisted by national institutes for the control, post cultivation, batches of vegetable seed produced, especially from the point of view of varietal purity, as well as state and national analysis laboratories for the assessment of grade Germination and seed germination capacity of each individual variety.
