A climbing plant (from 1.20 to 2.40 m) suited to temperate climates. Sow from February to March in a bed of soil in a pot or seed tray, without covering the seed, which germinates in light at a temperature of 20-25°C. Keep the soil moist, but not excessively so. Germination takes 21-30 days. When the seedlings have reached a height of 7.5 cm, move them outdoors; transplant them only when there is no longer any danger of frost and the seedlings have reached 45 cm in height. Provide climbing supports.
