If the ground is frozen, thus preventing the planting of bare-root strawberries, you can store the strawberries received outdoors or in a cold greenhouse by transplanting them into pots containing universal or specific soil. Alternatively, cover the roots with river sand, always maintaining the right level of humidity to prevent them from drying out or rotting.

The best remontant strawberries (reproductive)
Excellent "remontant" strawberries, recently introduced; the fruit can be harvested continuously
from May until the frost. The varieties presented are very valuable, "beautiful and good," sweet and flavorful.

Bare-root strawberries are planted from January to April; those in pots can be planted any month of the year. They grow in well-fertilized soil in full sun. The optimal distance is 50 cm between rows and 35/40 cm along the rows. We recommend using special polyethylene sheets for mulching for optimal growth and a harvest of healthy, clean fruit.
