Sowing and transplanting: Sowing in March-April, transplanting in May-June for summer-early autumn harvest. Sowing in May-June, transplanting in August for winter harvest. Sowing in September, transplanting in November for April-May harvest.
Spacing: 60-80 cm between rows, 40-70 cm between rows depending on the variety.
Tips: Cover with non-woven fabric to prevent cabbage moth infestation.
The red-leaved varieties, rich in antioxidants, are best eaten raw.
Seed requirements: 0.5-1 g per m2 of seedbed.
