Carolina Reaper HY F1 Chili Pepper - 1798

The CAROLINA REAPER chili pepper is the hottest in the world, reaching an average heat of 1,570,000 Scoville units, with peaks of 2,200,000. It is red when ripe and has a tip that resembles a scorpion's tail; it is the result of a cross between the Pakistani Naga Morich and the Red Habanero. It takes about 90 days to mature and reach a length of 3 to 5 cm. Despite its extreme heat, it offers a fruity and slightly sweet flavor, with hints of cinnamon and chocolate, followed by a heat that develops within seconds and lingers for several minutes.
