available icon In stock

Cucurbitaceae Family
It is grown like other zucchini, but trained on pergolas, nets, or supports 150-180 cm high. To enjoy its tenderness and delicious flavor, it is harvested when the fruit is about 20-30 cm long and at its best; when the fruit is 15-20 cm long, it can also be eaten raw. The fruits ripen gradually throughout the summer, allowing for long-term consumption and sale, and are unparalleled in sweetness and tenderness. Left on the plant, they reach a meter in length and become ornamental.

Cucurbitaceae Family Sowing: Indoors in February-March, 2-3 seeds per pot for early harvests. Outdoors, plant in the ground, in April-May, 3-4 seeds per hole. They will not germinate unless the soil temperature is about 20°C. Transplanting: Outdoors in April-May, thin out, leaving one plant per hole when the plants have 3-4 leaves. Spacing: 1-1.5 m between rows, 0.8-1 m between rows. Tips: Water abundantly, otherwise predominantly male flowers will form. Harvest daily or every 2-3 days when the flower at the tip of the fruit begins to close. The larger the fruit, the more it loses its characteristic flavor. Grow in soil very rich in organic matter and do not grow after Solanaceae or plants from the same family as Cucurbitaceae. Seed required: 50-60 g per 100 m2 of soil.
