The Chinook hop (Humulus lupulus var. Chinook) is a variety selected in the United States and today among the most popular in the brewing world. It stands out for its unique aromatic profile, with resinous, citrus, and spicy notes that enrich IPA, APA, Porter, and Stout style beers. It is widely used both as a bittering hop (medium-high alpha acids) and as an aroma hop, guaranteeing great versatility. From an ornamental standpoint, it is a climbing plant capable of exceeding 5 meters in height with adequate support, ideal for covering pergolas or fences. Cultivation is simple: it requires fertile, well-drained soil, sunny exposure, and regular irrigation without waterlogging.
