The Cotinus coggygria Royal Purple, also known as the Tree of Mist, is a striking ornamental plant, appreciated for its deep purple foliage which takes on spectacular crimson red and orange hues in autumn. During the summer, it produces light, fluffy inflorescences, resembling pink-purple clouds, which create a striking "smoky" effect, hence its name.
