The Jamaican is a chili pepper of the Capsicum chinense variety, characterized by a spiciness that ranges between 100,000 and 350,000 on the Scoville scale. Similar in shape to the habanero, it is about 4 cm long, bright in color, and has a fruity flavor. It is used in Caribbean cuisine for very spicy dishes. There are countless varieties.

Sowing: Indoors in a seedbed from January to March, depending on the area and the earliness of the variety.
Transplanting: When the seedling is manageable, transplant it into an 8 cm pot and keep it indoors. Transplant outdoors when the soil is warm and there is no risk of frost.
Spacing: 70-90 cm between rows, 30-50 cm along the row depending on the size of the fruit. Tips: Earth up the plants lightly. Rotate for at least 4 years and do not plant before or after other species of the same family, and not after cauliflower.
Seed Required: 3 g per 1 m2 of seedbed.
