available icon In stock

This pumpkin is an ancient variety historically grown in Mantua, with a turban shape composed of two layers. It weighs 2 to 4 kg with firm, dry orange flesh, slightly fibrous and therefore perfect for fillings, risottos, and gnocchi. It is a vigorous plant with long shoots. It is harvested when the leaves dry and at least 50% of the stalk is woody. It can be stored for up to 10 months!

Sowing: Indoors in February-March, 2-3 seeds per pot for early harvests; outdoors in April-May, plant in the ground, 3-4 seeds per hole.

Transplanting: Outdoors in April-May; leave one plant per hole when the plants have 3-4 leaves.

Spacing: 2 m between rows and 1-1.5 m along the row.
