MARCHE CHICKPEA - 1455

A hardy and frugal plant; it can also be sown directly into the ground by broadcast. It is grown like dwarf shelling beans; sow in spring for a summer harvest. The seed is small, angular, and gray-brown in color, while the skin is not very tough and not bitter. Soaking for 4-5 hours and cooking for 30 minutes is sufficient to prepare excellent dishes.
