Description
Family Apiaceae / Umbelliferae. Sowing: Plant in the ground from late winter to midsummer, staggered for a continuous harvest; the last sowings yield carrots that can be stored for the winter. Sowing in tunnels is possible from October to February. Spacing: 30 cm between rows, thinning to 5-10 cm along the row. Tips: Grow in loose soil. Earth up lightly and cover with non-woven fabric to prevent root greening and carrot fly infestation. Seed requirements: 20-30 g per 100 m2 of soil.
