Pheromones against the pine processionary moth - 58015-

Insect responsible: Butterfly (lepidoptera: Thaumetopoea Pityocampa)
The larvae have bodies covered with extremely stinging hairs. They always move in single file (in procession). They feed on pine needles, causing significant damage: defoliation of the pine tree, weakening of the tree. Pheromones protect the fruit and limit deposition.
The package contains 2 capsules packaged in 2 airtight bags.
Each capsule acts for 4-6 weeks and covers approximately 15 m2. Pheromone bags can be stored in the cold (up to 3 years in the refrigerator - up to 5 years in the freezer).
Recommended treatment period:
JUNE-JULY-AUGUST-SEPTEMBER
USE:
Pheromones are used with a trap. Use only one pheromone per trap. 1 pine tree only >> 1 to 2 traps
Pine tree alignment >> 1 trap every 3 pine trees or 1 trap every 25 meters
Pine cluster >> 1 trap every 25 meters on trees at the edge of the cluster or forest.
Several hectares of pines >> 6 to 8 traps per hectare.
Traps should be placed on the lower branches of trees, one per tree or one every 25 meters along the perimeter of the forest.
THE CAPSULES MUST BE PLACED IN THE TRAPS 58082 or 58085 TO BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY
Description
Description
A 100% ecological method, perfectly effective and respectful of crops and soil. Pheromones are volatile substances generally secreted by female insects. They play a role in recognizing and sexually attracting males, who can spot them even from several kilometers away. Each species emits a specific pheromone. This allows for highly precise and effective control of each type of pest. Each type of pest corresponds to a specific pheromone. The treatment consists of trapping the male insect by mimicking the pheromone emitted by the female to prevent mating and therefore egg-laying.
