Species: Salix chaenomeloides variety ‘Mount Aso’ (early-flowering ornamental willow)

Flowering: in late winter–early spring it produces spectacular deep pink, soft and velvety catkins that appear before the leaves and are one of the plant’s most appreciated ornamental features.
