Spacing: for home cultivation, space 1-1.20 m in all directions. 60 cm between rows. Tips: pick firm, not too mature flower heads. The plant can last 3-5 years. The lateral shoots (carducci) should be detached from the main plant in September-October and in January-February. They can be eaten in the kitchen like cardoons. When rotating, do not use species belonging to the same Asteraceae family (chicory, lettuce, etc.). Seed requirements: 3-4 g per m2 in seedbeds. "
