DWARF BORLOTTO BEAN AMARANTH - 1757

available icon In stock

Very early bush borlotto variety (72-76 days from sowing); high productivity and adaptability to different conditions. Good field holding and suitable for mechanical harvesting. Pod with dark red streaks on a light background; length between 12 and 16 cm, 5-6 seeds per pod. Also suitable for freezing. Sowing: from mid-April to mid-July. Resistances: BCMV

The seed intended for sowing appears brown, simply because it is not fresh, waxy seed, but rather seed subjected to drying, which inevitably leads to a browning of the seed coat, but this is a natural and physiological process that cannot be avoided. Therefore, this is the appearance of the seed you will receive, while upon harvest the seed will have a white seed coat, as shown in the photo in our catalog.

Leguminosae/Papilionaceae family. Sowing: directly in the ground only when the temperature has stabilized above 10°C; in practice, starting in March in southern regions and starting in April elsewhere. Sowing can be staggered until June so that the beans can be harvested at different times. The growing cycle varies from 2 to 3 months. Seed requirements: 1.5 - 2 kg per 100 m2 of land. Spacing: sow in rows 40/50 cm apart, planting 3-4 seeds 20/25 cm apart along the rows. The seed should be buried 2-3 cm deep. Fertilization: beans grow well in fertile soil that has been fertilized with organic fertilizers only the year before sowing. Avoid using immature manure. Helpful tips: it is advisable to lightly earth up the soil around the plants to form longitudinal furrows.
