Botanical description

Gardenia jasminoides 'Double Mint' is a compact, reblooming gardenia variety characterized by double, white, and strongly scented flowers that open abundantly from late spring until autumn. Each flower has a rose-like structure and an intense fragrance, ideal for creating aromatic corners on terraces, balconies, and gardens.

The foliage is glossy, dark green, and evergreen, with a neat, compact habit, also perfect for growing in pots or in scented borders.

Cultivation Requirements

• Location: Morning sun or bright partial shade
• Soil: Acidic, well-drained, rich in humus (pH 5.0–6.5)
• Watering: Constant with non-calcareous water; Avoid waterlogging.
• Fertilization: From March to September with a fertilizer for acid-loving plants.
• Pruning: Lightly after flowering to maintain its shape.
• Hardy: Tolerant to temperatures down to about -10°C, but protection is recommended in winter in colder areas.
• Maximum height: 70/100 cm.
• Width: approximately 60 cm.
