Sowing: in a seedbed indoors in January-February; outdoors from early spring to May-June depending on the climate.
Transplanting: when the seedlings have a diameter of 0.5 cm, in holes or furrows about 15 cm deep; earth up the soil around the seedlings only when they are well established. Spacing: 30 cm between rows, 15-20 cm along the row.
Advice: after transplanting, water abundantly. In crop rotation, they can replace new potatoes or early peas. They can remain in the open field all winter.
Seed requirements: 2-3 g per 1 m2 of seedbed.
