Strelitzia Nicolai - EW-18846

The Strelitzia, also known as the bird of paradise, is a masterpiece of nature and is considered highly prized for the shape and beauty of its flowers. Despite its imposing, almost intimidating appearance, it is surprisingly easy to grow and can withstand even less than optimal environmental conditions. Growing temperatures are between 13°C and 21°C, never below 5°C.
It can be grown outdoors in regions with particularly mild climates where temperatures don't drop below 5°C, or it can be grown indoors. Light is essential for the Strelitzia. It should be as intense as possible and can be placed in full sun, but not in the midday sun of summer.
The Strelitzia loves air, so it's important that its environment is frequently ventilated but without creating drafts, especially cold drafts.
Unlike other plants, the Strelitzia enters its dormant period in June-July.
The Strelitzia should be watered very generously, except during the dormant period (June-July), when it should be watered much more sparingly.
Between waterings, the soil should dry out on the surface.
The plant loves humid environments, so it benefits from spraying its leaves, but be careful not to wet the flowers.
